Ballroom By The Bay opened its doors in January 2018 with a mission to build and support the dance community on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Owner Robbie Greenwood has been teaching for more than 15 years and is fully DVIDA certified in both American Smooth and Rhythm. Before opening Ballroom By The Bay, Robbie was a dance teacher in Tupelo, Mississippi where he is revered for his excellent instruction and highly regarded for his top-level showcase choreography.
All types of dancing and people are welcome at Ballroom By The Bay. Our top notch instructors attract dancers to come to our studio from across the South, including Mississippi, Louisiana and Alabama. Whether you want to be a competitive dancer, learn how to social dance or just how to move around on the floor to your favorite music, Ballroom By The Bay has something for everyone.
For those that want to compete, our instructors provide top-tier training for competitions and compete in the Pro-Am circuit. For first-time dancers and social dancers, we offer a variety of group classes aimed at improving student’s ballroom knowledge and technique, and, most importantly, having fun. We have social dance parties every Friday that bring the ballroom community together for a wonderful evening of dance and great company.
