Robbie Greenwood-Owner/Instructor
Robbie Greenwood is the owner of Ballroom By The Bay. He began his dance career in Jackson, MS where he started his training. Before moving to the coast, he taught more than twelve years at The Dance Studio of Tupelo. He is fully DVIDA certified in both American Smooth and Rhythm. Robbie is highly regarded as a top-level choreographer and his group and Pro Am performances are always fabulous. He teaches several styles of ballroom dance, including Smooth, Standard, and Rhythm as well as night club dances, like West Coast Swing.
Robbie never stops learning and loves getting high-end coaching. His coaches include notables Jim and Jenell Maranto, Slawek Sochacki and Marzena Stachura, Ron Montez, Toni Redpath, Felipe Telona, and Kasia Kozak. He first competed professionally in American Smooth with Stephanie Betts in February, 2009. He is often in demand to do coaching and judging throughout the region. Trish Drake-Instructor
Trish Drake began dancing in 2009. She danced socially and competed in Ballroom, Country Western and Swing. She has won a number of National titles while competing Pro-Am with the American Country Dance Association and Regional titles while competing with the United Country Western Dancers Association. In 2017, she began her professional dance career and has continued competing on these circuits. Her professional partnership has resulted in 2017 and 2018 National Championship titles and she is the 2019 Division 1 Silver World Champions. She continues to compete as Master’s level competitor in the Royal Superstars and Crown Divisions. She also teaches students in both social and competitive dancing. Her competitive students have won National Championships on the ACDA circuit and she has a large social dancer clientele. “You don’t have to compete, sometimes, you just want to dance”.

Mike Spencer-Instructor
Mike Spencer is the owner of DLM Studios. He is a certified instructor, coach, choreographer and judge. He teaches in Jackson, Hattiesburg, Alexandria, and D’Iberville. Mike is the only male instructor in Mississippi certified in ballroom, country and swing. Mike has been a dance professional for 30 years and has won many titles. They include the 2 Step Across Texas National Championship, the 2 Step Across America Championship, the ACDA Division 1 National title, the ACDA Superstars title, and the 2019 UCWDC Division 1 Silver World Championship. He also has National titles in Strictly Swing. As a teacher, he has produced 11 world champion pro/am student champions and many national champions. He teaches the full syllabus in ballroom, country, latin, and swing. Mike teaches all levels of students from beginner to advanced. His certifications include the UCWDC, ACDA, NDCA, and IDCA.
